History
of the Branch
The tuticorin Branch of SIRC of ICAI was established in 1990
and now has 58 members. It is one of the most active branches
in the Southern Region, with its regular programs, seminars,
workshops and conferences, and being conscious about the happenings
in the society and rapid progress in the profession, has developed
excellent infrastructure. The newly constructed ICAI BHAWAN
houses a state - of the art 125 pax air conditioned auditorium,
a modern Board Room, a fully equipped info - tech lab, gorgeous
library with a vast collection of books, a serene reading
rooms and apart from these one floor is exclusively dedicated
to accommodate the computer centre and a class room.
Our tireless activity stretched its arms towards perfection
and excellence and recognized and awarding with “Highly
Commended Performance Shield 2008 to Tuticorin Branch of SIRC
of the Institute of Chartered Accountancy of India at the
59th Annual Day function on 04/02/2009 held at
Hotel Ashoka, New Delhi. Highly Commended Performance Shield
2008 and Certificate to this effect was awarded by Sri. P.C.
Gupta, Union Minister of Corporate Affairs, Government of
India, in the presence of President & Vice President of
ICAI.
